I’m going to try to read it but if it turns out to be like the first Spin-off volume, I may not finish it and just go straight to volume 10 instead.
TORADORA LIGHT NOVEL VOL 10 SERIES
The next volume in the series is actually the second Spin-off volume. I kind of prefer the light novel to the anime this time because I think it helped me get a better understanding of Ami and Minori but I did really like the anime original content with the relationship of those two. There are some interactions between Ryuuji and Minori, and Ryuuji and Ami that are shortened as well. The scene where Ryuuji and the guys visit the ramen shop Minori works at is anime original, as is Minori and Ami’s conversation, since this volume is told entirely from Ryuuji’s POV. This volume is adapted in episodes 22, 23 and part of 24 of the anime (the volume ends when Taiga and Ryuuji run away from their parents). It’s a bit too melodramatic at times but it was very entertaining and readable and I really enjoyed it. This volume was really interesting and I felt like I got more insight into the Minori and Ami here than I did in the anime. I think Ami will either continue modeling or she’ll use her modeling to boost her career change into something else, like acting, singing or becoming an idol. Thinking about it, here’s where I think our main characters will be in the future: I can definitely see Ryuuji going into cleaning or cooking since he’s passionate and skilled at both those things. Meanwhile, it’s time for the students to decide what they’re going to do in their third year of high school and Ryuuji’s freaking out a bit over Taiga’s accidental confession last volume and Valentine’s Day is approaching. After her accident last volume, Taiga is staying with her mum for a bit.
